Expert in Complemetary (Nursing) Therapies, Author,Teacher and Bridge Builder
Madeleine Kerkhof is a former nurse, now an expert on aromatherapy, and an expert and lecturer in complementary therapies. Madeleine is the author of the book “Complementary Nursing in End of Life Care, Integrative Care in Palliative Care” (2015). She is also a world-renowned expert on the fusion of CO2 extracts within modern aromatherapy and wrote the recently published book “CO2 Extracts in Aromatherapy, 50+ Extracts for Clinical Applications”. She is a passionate bridge builder between complementary therapies and modern nursing (or another profession) care. Her work and expertise are highly valued by professionals in healthcare around the globe.
After years working as a registered nurse, Madeleine identified a need to treat the person during their illness, rather than just their symptoms. In today’s lecture, she talks about all aspects of her work with palliative care patients from wound healing and infection control to the oils chosen by people to accompany them during their precious final moments.
